Hi, I’m Gwendolyn, Gwen, or G. Your choice. I’ll answer to any of those names. Please don’t call me Wendy though! I’m so excited to be a part of the ECLT Leadership Council. I felt blessed to be able to purchase a home in Denver County as a single person and want to help others do the same. I was born and raised in Oklahoma and as the Sooner fight song says, “I’m Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die, I’m Sooner dead”!
I moved to Denver on April Fool’s Day 2000. I got married, bought a home in the Highlands in 2002, raised a family and eventually moved out in 2016. Between 2016 and 2022, when I purchased my home with ECLT, I lived in 3 different apartment communities and was priced out of every one of them.
I’m a staff accountant for a local home builder and enjoy hand-building pottery, designing jewelry, gardening, and guiding my son through college life at DU. I also do volunteer work as often as possible.
I’m grateful for this opportunity and eager to get started and meet as many people as possible to help ECLT and the state of Colorado maneuver affordable housing challenges.
