Our Team Member

My name is Max Courington and I was born in Del Rio, Texas into an Air Force family. Growing up we moved around the country a lot, but finally settled in Northern Virginia as my father was stationed at the Pentagon. I graduated high school in Virginia and attended Virginia Tech where I studied International Business and Spanish. During my time at VT I had the opportunity to engage in a wide array of elective courses including Brewing Chemistry. My passion for making beer was born then. Following college, I became a teacher in Fairfax County and taught grades K-6 as well as special needs classes. During my time as a teacher I’d spend my weekends home brewing beer and caring for my many fish tanks. After about eight years as a teacher and homebrewer, I had the opportunity to change careers and pursue my passion and become a professional brewer. I worked in the craft beer industry at several different locations and helped to grow one of Virginia’s most acclaimed breweries. In 2021 I was invited to become the Head Brewer of a small brewpub in Castle Rock, CO. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up as my family had all moved to Colorado in the previous years. In early 2022 I was eager to put down roots and purchase a home. Having just moved across the country for work, I did not have a lot of possessions ( or money) and found the listings from ECLT. I made my ECLT homeownership purchase at La Tela Condos in March of 2022 and have absolutely loved the feeling and experience of owning my home. I am excited to share my experience and show support to ECLT homeowner community.
